City Sewer Billings
This section presents the sewer bills the Division 12 STEP Association receives from the City of Gig Harbor. The billings are sent bi-monthly in January, March, May, July, September and November. Bills include a sewer base charge/connect fee for each home; the consumption (or amount of wastewater discharged to the city); a small administrative fee; and state and local taxes.
As an example, the 2020 bi-monthly sewer charges for the December 31, 2020 billing included the following components:
- Sewer Base Charge: $83.46 per home (x 71 homes) = $5,925.66
- Consumption: 631 ccf (100 cubic feet) billed @ $7.42 per ccf = $4,682.02
- Admin Fee: $37.38
- City Tax (5%): $532.25
- State Tax (3.852%): $410.05
- Total: $11,587.36
On average, each home generates 119 gallons of wastewater per day.
